LES PLUS GRANDES QUALITÉS D’UN SURFER

Patience + Perseverance, Resilience, Observation to learn to read the ocean, watch other surfers

Zen/chill/relax, don't take yourself too seriously, it's easy to fall into the quest for performance, to want to be better every time, but it's also good to remind yourself from time to time that you're here to have fun. If you're reading this, there's a good chance that you'll never participate in the surfing Olympics (except maybe the Guy's Wave Olympics!), so breathe the sea air, and appreciate what the ocean offers you. We can always be better, the waves too, but surfing in different conditions is also part of the experience and prepares us better to face all types of waves. Also, when the conditions are less good, it means less people in the water, therefore more waves for us!

Respect and humility: of the ocean, of the environment (health of the oceans, of the coral, that's what creates many waves), of other surfers, of locals, of people more experienced than you (we may be on the path), of beginners (remember that we have been there before too)

A little spark or a touch of madness! Surfers are generally people who like to have fun, who love life. And since it is a sport that can be considered extreme, it takes a little something, passion, hard to describe with words, but a desire to push your limits, get out of your comfort zone.
